Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 July 2026 · Effective worldwide

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding agreement between you and Global Audition AB ("Global Audition", "we", "us") governing access to and use of the Global Audition platform, including native mobile applications (iOS and Android), the web admin portal, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By creating an account, submitting an application, or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

2. Definitions

  • Production Company / Producer — the organization that creates and manages casting projects on the platform.
  • Applicant / Talent — an individual, couple, or group submitting materials for a casting call.
  • Submission — an application including form responses, photos, videos, and related data.
  • Project — a casting call configured by a Production Company with its own rules, branding, and deadlines.

3. Services

Global Audition provides a casting and audition management platform enabling:

  • Digital application forms with save-and-continue and offline draft support
  • Native in-app video recording, compression, and chunked upload
  • Review dashboards with Kanban pipeline, scoring, and video comparison
  • Applicant status tracking and push/email notifications
  • GDPR compliance tools: per-field consent, data export, and account deletion
  • White-label branding and custom domains (Enterprise tier)

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Beta features are provided "as is" without SLA guarantees.

4. Account Registration & Security

Admin users authenticate via approved methods (email/password, Google OAuth, Apple Sign-In where available). You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Role-based access controls (RBAC) apply as configured by your organization. Producers are responsible for inviting reviewers and assigning appropriate permissions. Two-factor authentication is available and recommended for admin accounts.

5. Applicant Submissions

Applicants never pay to submit through Global Audition. By submitting, applicants:

  • Grant the Production Company a non-exclusive licence to review submitted materials solely for casting and production purposes
  • Confirm that all information provided is accurate and that they meet eligibility requirements defined per project
  • Acknowledge project-specific confidentiality obligations where indicated
  • Provide per-field GDPR consent with timestamp, IP address, and privacy policy version
  • Retain ownership of their content unless otherwise agreed in project-specific terms

Global Audition does not guarantee casting outcomes, callbacks, or selection. The Production Company makes all casting decisions independently.

6. Production Company Obligations

Production Companies using the admin portal agree to:

  • Act as data controller for applicant personal data and comply with GDPR and applicable local privacy laws
  • Publish a privacy notice for each project and configure appropriate data retention (default 18 months)
  • Use applicant data only for legitimate casting purposes — not for unrelated marketing without consent
  • Respond to applicant rights requests promptly or escalate to Global Audition support
  • Not discriminate unlawfully based on protected characteristics
  • Ensure reviewers handle confidential materials appropriately

7. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Services to:

  • Upload unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or harassing content
  • Access or attempt to access other users' data without authorization
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract platform data
  • Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or Firebase App Check
  • Upload malware, deepfakes intended to deceive, or non-consensual imagery
  • Violate broadcasting, employment, child protection, or equality laws
  • Resell platform access without an Enterprise agreement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practicable.

8. Fees & Billing

Pricing tiers (Free Trial, Per Project, Pro, Enterprise) are described at globalaudition.org. Fees apply to Production Companies, not applicants. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Refunds are handled per our billing policy and applicable consumer protection law.

9. Intellectual Property

Global Audition retains all rights in the platform software, branding, documentation, and aggregated anonymized analytics. User-submitted content (videos, photos, text) remains owned by applicants unless otherwise agreed in project-specific contracts between applicants and Production Companies.

You grant Global Audition a limited licence to host, transcode, and display submitted content as necessary to operate the Services.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

Our Privacy Policy describes how we process personal data. Key points:

  • EU data stored in Firebase europe-west1
  • Consent recorded per data field with audit metadata
  • Applicants may export data (JSON) or request deletion (30-day grace period)
  • Data retention defaults to 18 months per project

11. Service Availability

We target 99.5% uptime for paid tiers (Enterprise SLA may differ). Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. Video transcoding depends on Cloud Functions and third-party infrastructure; occasional delays may occur during peak load.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". Global Audition disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including lost profits, lost casting opportunities, or reputational harm. Our aggregate liability is limited to fees paid by you to Global Audition in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Indemnification

Production Companies agree to indemnify Global Audition against claims arising from their use of applicant data, casting decisions, breach of these Terms, or violation of applicable law, except where caused by Global Audition's gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

14. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for Terms violations or non-payment. Upon termination, data is handled per our retention policy and applicable GDPR erasure requests. Export your data before closure where possible.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. EU consumers retain mandatory protections under their country of residence. Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; unresolved disputes may be brought before the courts of Stockholm, Sweden, or your local courts where mandatory consumer rights apply.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. Material updates will be notified via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
